Hey thanks guys. I'll admit I am having a hard time with this one. In addition I am a little hung over 'cause my hockey team took me out last night.

Good news is, my wife is buying me a preamp. I really want a DIY tube one. Now I have to decide if I get a kit or try pure "from the ground up" approach.
