Before buying the MCD 301

I do not want to start an unbalanced debate about an old issue concerning transport noise in the (apart from this, wonderful) MCD 201! But before finally making the significant investment in a MCD 301, I would feel more confident if I knew: 1) That the level of the spinning sound from the transport/CD-spinning is significantly lower in the MCD 301 compared to MCD 201. Concerning this I feel fairly confident from what I have read in this forum and my main remaining concern is 2) the "ticks" between the CD-tracks which I find disturbing in the MCD 201. I hope this is not present in the MCD 301 but before taking the final decision to buy it, it would be reassuring to hear from those who have experience from MCD 201 and 301 that the ticks are eiminated in the MCD 301. (As my dealer doesnt have the 301 available yet, this is my only possibility to clarify this issue before ordering one).

Input are most appreciated!

With the best regards,

The disk noise is reduced. The tick between tracks is gone. It does tick quietly at the end of a disk. I have not had difficulty playing disks. It has great sound. I very much like my 301.

I heard Mc might be introducing an MCD 501 -- could be just a rumor, could be the new product Ron-C is discussing in a different thread.
