I missed this somehow tho we were on friendly terms but out of touch for several years.
A couple of threads touched on a large estate sale that turned out to be his stuff, thats how I found out.
Those of us in the high performance DX crystal set community knew his research and website supporting further development in the science of passive envelope modulated reception. His last significant development was an original concept low loss dual range RF contra-coil.
I knew him from this, his interest in hearing aids, Edison/ Splitdorf, and healthful living advice. I still have a phone conversation from a spontaneous call he made several years ago on an answering machine I retired rather than erase.
His extensive website is still up, I do hope someone preserves this priceless resource.
