Beovox Line (S45 etc...)

Hey, do any of your guys have enough experience with the B&O Beovox line to compare/contrast them? I really like what I have read about them, and think they are a good looking speaker, but don't know which ones to get.

And just because the S45s for instance are rated at 45/75W does that mean I can't use them with say an amp of 90wpc?

S45-2 (I know the difference in the 2-way/3-way, but not much else)
S75
S120

Basically if anyone is even familiar with these, chime in on what you thought of them.

I think it would look sharp to have a pair with the stands too!

I have a pair of S50's that I like and a pair of 4702's that I still need to refoam (but have never listened to above a whisper).

The S50's are competent, good-looking 2-ways. Not giant-killers but definitely pleasant to listen to.

Remember that the 90wpc rating is peak output before distortion, normal listening volumes will be well below 90. As long as you don't crank the volume you should be fine.

I had a pair of S-70's years ago. I though they were very nice. However, I listended to them before I bought them. You should always listen to speakers before you buy.

beekeo- good point on the wpc ratings. I didn't think about that. I do know that I never rock out that hard in my room, so I should be good.

JoeESP9- I typically like to play with things before buying, or in this case, listen to them. However, I feel that in this case, even if I ended up not liking them I wouldn't be willing to spend more on them than I could sell them for anyway.

Do all the S-line Beovox stick to a coherent sound at least? I figure the dates of manufacture will make the sound vary a bit, but surely they are all comparable...
