No idea, but the single vu meter suggests that. Cool machines.

As a tube broadcast recorder, being mono isn't a surprise. The overlap between the beginning of the end of tube electronics and the start of FM stereo broadcasting is fairly small.

More interesting is the variable source/tape selector.
