Yes, Nichicon would give you most bang for your buck. Also, Sprague Atom for critical small values such as in bias circuit. JJ multi-can capacitors are great value, too.
Been using all of the above for the past 12+ years and no issues at all.
If I'm recapping a solid state circuit, I'd use Wima film caps.

Mouser's parent company has 500 or larger lots for less than Mouser.
If you just want caps there are some places that sell a few different sizes for cheap, pennies not nickels and dimes.

I don't look for bang for the buck, though there are a bunch of series with different performance, all for similar prices. IMO, United Chemicon, Nichicon and Panasonic have better life than some others. I also like Illinois film caps, but tend to avoid their electrolytics, at least the common ones that are easy to find. Though I use Digikey and Mouser most of the time, I always check the overstock listing at Allied. Sometimes you can get great deals on caps there.

I must say i so enjoy this AK site , The info is second to none. I enjoy the honesty and playful banter that comes into play. I am new at the rebuilding concept but have 7 year background in electrical , So it is just another one of those lifes journeys . I moved out of Tucson to pursue a new career and the town i live in is dead after 7PM population 1600 big diff from 1.4 million , so i have lots of time to play in this new arena ,Having fun so far i must say .
