Because the sellers are intentionally misleading buyers into thinking they are purchasing an expensive item from a reputable company at a significant discount, when, in fact, they are buying low quality imitation products from a company who is ripping off the names of actual companies.

“A fool and his money are soon parted” – but sometimes fools get ripped off at it's really too bad. In my mind it’s better to not encourage this kind of scam on Craigslist by allowing these to remain posted.

Bottom line for me is, it’s an intentionally deceptive practice that’s been going on for a long time – of course it won’t stop, but I generally prefer to flag items like these so it discourages people from trying to sell imitation gear on CL. I don't flag anything that states that it's imitation gear - and while occasionally that actually happens, it's certainly not very often.

That's true - and I don't mind letting those linger longer. But when they're trying to make a mint off of deceiving people, that's when I happily flag.

OMG!!! These are the same two guys that I just bought a brand new 675x radial illuminous Wogger Professional refractor telescope from yesterday. Paid only $59 for it and they generously thru in three super high power eyepieces plus a triple barlow lens and the adapter for it and on top of all that they also included fully functional digital GoTo mount and all the hookup wires for it. I am going to contact them right away so I can get me this super stereo setup and really start having some good listening times. Thanks guys for heads up on this one..............
