Best Estate Sale/Garage Sale finds:
What are the best finds you have had at garage sales or estate sales? I look forward to weekends so that I can drive around and find garage and estate sales for my electronics fix.
I have found a few really good finds and a few great finds at garage/estate sales, here are a few:
1. JVC QL-F4 with Pickering XSV-3000 and D-3000 needle mint for $20.00.
2. Akai GXC-709 cassette player mint for $20.00.
3. Hitachi IA-600 integrated amplifier with matching TU-600 Tuner and Hitachi TRQ-2000 cassette player, all for $30.00.
4. Technics SL-QD33 turntable, Yamaha TC-520 cassette player and Yamaha NS-5 speakers all working and in decent cosmetic condition for $12.00.
5. Nakamichi CDP-2A CD with remote player for free.
6. Onkyo DX-1400 CD mint condition player for $5.00.
7. Wharfedale W-30 speakers mint for $1.00.
8. Technics SL-P210 CD player with remote mint for $10.00.
9. Technics RS-TR265 dual cassette deck for free.
10. Crosby R-80 tube receiver for $1.00. Did not work properly, and I gave it away (stupid me!!!)
I use the excuse to my wife that I’m getting all these pieces to sell back as they are such a good deal, or that they are for my nephews or nieces (sometimes they initially are . . . but . . .then I keep them . . .sometimes . . .)
So, do any of you have any good garage/estate sale finds as well??
Lets see what you got!:thmbsp:
Cheers
