Best headphones under $100?

Jazz, classic, acoustic, and blues genres mostly.

I looked at these:

Audio-Technica ATH-M40x
Sennheiser HD 559
AKG K240 Studio

Marshall Major II vs III

Which is the most ideal for these genres?
Other models may be involved under $100?

Thank you!

There is no ideal phone (neither objectively or subjectively) in this range (or any other) and my recommendations are useful only to those who know they share or trust my taste. And why trust it if you don’t share it?

Anyway, I like and own both the Shure SRH440 and AKG K 240. Both have good clarity and tone to my taste. Neither has hashy distortion or ringing trashy treble. Both are very comfortable <to me>.

Closed back cans that I keep coming back to: Sony MDR-V6. Flat and uncolored to my ears and brain. There has to be a reason why these are still being made after 30 years. Read the reviews and decide.

EDIT: The only downside I have found is the crappy plastic ear pads. Beyer velour pads, for a few bucks more, fix this.
