Best Option for Yamaha Preamp: C2 v C2a v C4 v C6 ...???

While Yamaha does/did so much right, this whole C and 2 and or x madness belongs in the Product Marketing Hall of Shame!

Actually C-2 ---> C-2a--->C-2x to mate up with the M-2 amplifier.
CX-2 to match with MX-2 power amplifier
Whats so difficult with that.

Did you ever find a C4? If you did, and it hasn't been recapped yet, send it to avionic for a recap/reflow/restore/spa treatment. I bought mine on Barter Town in 2009 and sent it to him in 2011. I just gave it a Deoxit bath this winter and all is well. It's never leaving my main system. I only wish I had more room near it to connect a third turntable.

Hi Classic Carl: Yes, I found a C4 on USAudiomart. My tech restored it and it works beautifully with the M2 he also restored! I am in search for a T2 if you see a minty one!
