Best Source for Thorens TD 145 Mk1 Belt?

Hello everyone, I am looking a for a new belt for my Thorens and was wondering the best place to get a new one. I see several on eBay around the $10 range with good feedback and also see a "genuine" Thorens belt on vinylnirvana that is $27. I am wanting a belt that is good quality and close to original specs. I have seen several conflicting answers on various different forums and am unsure of which belt is best. Advice is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Also I'm interested in upgrading the RCA cables and wondering what are some good options. I've seen Belden and Mogami mentioned and was wondering which is the best. I'm simply wanting to remove the old ones and solder newer/better cables in.

You can't go wrong with genuine if it is available. Problems come when dealing with lower level turntables that haven't been supported by their manufacturers for 25+ years. Then it can be very challenging to find an aftermarket belt that works properly with regard to tension and speed.

Alright, thanks! I knew vinylnirvana is the go to place for Thorens and Acoustic Research parts/servicing, I just didn't know if there was a difference in the belts. I will purchase it this week. Also have any of you upgraded RCA cables, if so what brand of cable does the job well? I'm wanting to upgrade the noisey, poorly shielded Thorens cables for something better.
 
There is a difference in belts in terms of Thorens. They're finicky about what belt is used, and the clutch is dependent on belt quality. Thorens and Thakker belts are best for your TD 145.
