Best speakers comination with Mcintosh MC2505

Just wondering if anyone has modern speakers hooked up to a system like mine:
Mcintosh MC2505 power amp
Mcintosh C-26 Preamp
Project Debut III with Grado red cartridge
Nakamichi Dragon cassette

I am currently using JBL L-100 Century speakers but just wondering about anything different. My listening preferences are music from late 60's to mid 70's and jazz.

Price range for set should be under $500.00 so what do you think!!

Tannoy 6 series, Dali Concepts or Lectors, Infinity Kappa, JBL titanium dome tweeter 3ways.

OFC there are many more, but these would be my favorites.

Another suggestion might be a pair of Klipsch Cornwalls. Their high efficiency would assure excellent dynamic range from your 2505. I've seen decent used pairs go for a little as $600 if you could stretch to that.

Any model Altecs with horns that you can find for 500, or a pair of JBL L-112s
