Best stylus replacement for AT125LC Cartridge

Hey guys,
I've read some posts about stylus replacements for the Audio-Technica AT125LC cartridge, but when I look for them online they're all discontinued and sold out. Wondering what the best current stylus replacement would be for this cartridge? I acquired the cartridge on an old turntable I had and never got to use. Time for a new cartridge on my main table, and I'd like to try this Audio-Technica cartridge that I've heard good things about. But I really would like to get the best stylus I can for this cartridge.

Any help would be much appreciated...
Thanks in advance

Joe

Is the stylus/cantilever damaged? Do you just suspect it is worn out or are you certain?

The reason I ask is that I have acquired multiple cartridges with tables. Probably 6 out of 12 were good. 3 out of those were close to new. I have the aid of a microscope or I would never know. Even with the microscope it takes some effort to see the wear as it's not set up specifically for this purpose.

It seems that the cateliever has become rigid - which I've heard is relatively common in these older at cartridges...

Found one vendor on eBay that has a bunch of NOS needles. Don't know if it's legit but the photo looks promising.

I would think the new VMN 540ML needle should fit. Since it isn't a bonded stylus it would be an upgrade as well.

Any one of the styli from the VM series should fit. Choices are conical, elliptical, Shibata, microline, and there's a special line contact from the VM 760SLC will fit, too.

ATN120E - stylus shape would be a downgrade (LC-->elliptical), but stylus mount would be an upgrade (bonded-->nude).
