If the MC7300 were the best amplifier I could reasonbly justify ($$), I would be very happy. It's the amplifier I should never have replaced.
There are options if you can live without meters, but if you want meters, the options narrow a bit.
I think I’ve narrowed my choices down to:
1. MC2105 to use with my 4100
or…
2. Sell my 4100 and buy a MA5300 integrated.
Neither of those options buys you much. The 4100 is just that good ...
You're gonna' have to play ball to better it.
Interesting. So you do t believe the MA5300 will sound any better than my 4100?

A new MA5300 from Crutchfield is $6,000 which is a good bit higher than your $4,000 target. However they do have a 60 day return policy in case it doesn't measure up.
Check the reviews.

Thank you for your input! I’ve been listening to my 4100 with the 104/2’s the last couple of nights and I’m really starting to like what I’m hearing!Unless you can return it, I recommend avoiding the MA5300. I tried my MC2205 with my Kef 104/2 and 105s when I was trying to decide which to keep. They sounded good with the MC2205, but they sounded great with my Bose 1801s.
