Hello all,
I just finished reading a thread on this forum of a member, Manyak? who had acquired a beat-up BGW 750 A with a WFAA bumper sticker on top and restored it. One of the posters offering advice on his thread, Mike Harris, mentioned that when they did professional installs on some of these amps, they purposely removed the "stereo/mono" switch on the rear so that the amp can't be accidentally reconfigured. Makes sense.
Now, I need to know if that process can be reversed, so that I can bridge my two BGW 1000's to mono. Mine came from "The Complex" in Los Angeles, Kitty corner from where the basketball stadium is now. These units were purchased in 2006 at Jammin' Jersey and serviced at Audio Repair Service in the San Fernando valley in May of 2006, and have seen very low hours of use since then.
Any previous experiences with this situation with the BGW amps is appreciated!
