Bi-amping kappa 8, do or dont?

Hi. I have a strange problem. I currently bi-amp my kappa 8:s but i find the sound strange, it is better in some way and worse in some way. The detail and soundstaging is better but the base is less present and less "Punchy". My question is: Have anybody else experienced the same? Also can someone please explain the pros and cons of bi-amping with the built in filters (passive) in infinity speakers? Thanx in advance...

I don't have an answer for you, but, there are those here that will. I would suggest you state what amplifiers you are using, where they are being used, and if you are going horizontal or vertical with your biamping. The more of that kind of stuff that is known, the faster you will get a suggestions and a solution. I am interested in this topic myself.
 
Hi. Im using two sherbourn PA 2-250 as poweramps and sherbourn Pre 1 as pre amp. Im letting one 2-250 drive the lows (red and black) and one 2-250 drives the highs (red and black). Anything else?
 
I've always been a big fan of one large amp instead of multiples unless you go dual mono...the bi-amped set ups I've heard were never dialed in right...
 
I'd try vertical bi amping. 1 amp for each speaker. You are now horizontal bi amping.
The amp on your woofers has to work much harder then the other amp does.
