Bi-Amping

I am not sure what it is called, but for definition, this is when two (or more) amps share the same audio source and put out their own respective signals to different speakers.

All 3 of my speaker sets (focusing on two for this) have double inputs. I bought an amp for another place, and I have one DAC (Chord Qutest) and I have to plug/unplug to switch overs. One amp is SET Class A 15WPC and the other, Elvis from www.erhard-audio.com A/B in Triode, or Pentode @ 60Wpc.

I could assign an amp to each speaker.
SET->Watkins Gen 4
Elvis->Vandersteen 2ci
SET->tweeters, Elvis->mid/lower on the Vandersteen (or Watkins)
OR

I do NOT have any pre-amp. I have just the Qutest.

Has anyone used a Y (not a splitter) mono cable from one DAC to two different amps?
