Bi-Wiring with both output channels

Hi, Folks:

I have a question, I am trying to bi-wire my speaker using my Creek 5350SE, the 5350SE has 2 sets of R and L outputs, can I connect one set to HF and the other to LF of the speaker? assuming removing the connecting metal on the speaker. I wonder how different is this comparing to the using bi-wire cable and just connect to one set of amp output /?

The same, so long as the amp connects external speakers in parallel, not series.... :yes:
 
But some arguments say that connecting both outputs will actually degrade the output power and thus reduce the performance, is that true?
 
No, not in this instance, assuming that all your amp is doing when you push "A+B" is connecting the outputs in parallel.

You're talking about connecting speakers set up for biwiring this way. If what you were proposing was to run multiple pairs of speakers simultaneously in the same listening space, you'd be getting a different argument, yes.... :p:
 
Bi-Wiring with my Pioneer SX-980

My new Vandersteen 2ce signature speakers came with 4 terminals on each speaker for bi-wiring. The company recommended bi-wiring. I got lazy and split the positive and negative wires to the speakers, from the amp, between both a + b speaker outputs. I was listening to what I thought was good stereo from my new speakers. Then I decided to connect the wires the way the Vandersteen instruction manual stated. That is, to crimp and solder the two positive wires together and likewise the negative wires for each speaker and connect them to ONE speaker output. Now I got stereo sound. The stereo imaging and clarity of the instruments between the speakers is so much better. I don't know if my old SX980 outputs are in series or parallel or any other factors. I'm new at all this bi-wiring and bi-amping thing. But it made a big difference in my case.
