Bic venturi v52 for $10 - should I get them?

I just saw these for $10/pair at a local pawn shop. I read some raving reviews of these. I have more than enough other speakers at home so the new stuff I bring in must REALLY be good.

Now the question is - are they really exceptional speakers (objectively speaking) or just "great for price and size"?

The speakers I can compare them against that I have at home are DCM-CX17 and Boston Acoustics CR8.
Is there any chance the BIC-s might sound similar or better than these?

Yes

I’ve had a pair since the late 80s or maybe early 90s and they are still going strong and sound great

At one point well out of the five year warranty I blew a tweeter, I called BIC and within three days I had a new tweeter free of charge !
I was more than a little impressed with their customer service

They are great for price and size. I don't know how you could ask more than that of them. The DCMs are better, but the BICs are really nice under the radar speakers.

Could some one tell me the dimension of the tuning port hardware? They are both missing from my pair I have. I can 3d print one but have not idea how long/deep it should be. Thank You in advanced.
