Big round terminal cups.. Can't find!

I'm in the market for some round terminal cups for a pair of speakers I have which already have the holes cut.. The hole that's cut is 4" in diameter, and the recess surrounding that is 5.25" in diameter.. So I need something that has an inner diameter of 4", and an outer diameter of 5.25"..

I have found multitudes of terminal cups which have a 3" inner diameter, and 4.125" outer diameter, like this https://www.parts-express.com/gold-...-round-recessed-speaker-terminal-cup--260-311
But nothing bigger! I've been searching everywhere I can think of, even scouring ebay.. Does anyone have any ideas on where I could find these?

How about a scrap pair of (vintage) Polk Audio cups? They were pretty big around (although I must admit, I don't know how big around!).
They're a dime-a-dozen; one could retrofit them with better nanner jacks if desired.

Images all borrowed, mostly from the Polk Audio Forums.

Alternately, did you look at Madisound and MCM as well as PE?
Is Zalytron still around/in the speaker parts business?

I'm starting to investigate that old parted out speaker route.. Though it's kind of hard to find dimensions..
I checked Madisound, and PE. Hadn't heard of MCM though, I'm checking them now. Thanks for the tip.

EDIT: No luck at Zalytron or MCM.. I'll keep hunting.. Seems crazy to me that these are so elusive.

Make a Masonite plate to fill the recessed area and cut what you need out of the center of that piece. Use was you can find that fits the Masonite. Even rectangular. You can glue or just seal and screw in the hardboard piece. We are saving plastic today compared to back then and speaker terminal cups are smaller, if you want to believe that.

Plastic being an endangered species and all.
Save the plastic!

I mean, the once-great herds of Naugas that roamed unfettered were hunted to near extinction for their hydes.

;)

Masonite isn't as solid as you might think. It can actually "breathe". I replaced the rectangular piece of Masonite that held the terminals and crossover on a pair of ESS speakers with a piece of 1/4" MDF. Picked up a small piece of it fairly cheaply at Home Depot. MDF would be my choice over Masonite.

They have moved which makes us think they are extinct. The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is full of plastic. Plenty to keep up with the demand for large speaker terminal cups and a few other items but the harvesting is expensive so we don't do it and those naugas can live in peace knowing their hyde is not going to be hunted in that patch. http://nationalgeographic.org/encyclopedia/great-pacific-garbage-patch/

Seems like you really just need a round piece of whatever that is 5.25" in diameter, and not worry about the hole. Alternatively, cut two pieces of both sizes and glue them together. You could get a hole saw of this/these diameters.

Alternatively, a piece of acrylic could be cut on the laser cutter. You could even do up the mount holes and holes for the terminals on the laser at the same time. Again, you could just do the larger diameter, or both and glue them together. There are places that offer this service, and even I have access to this equipment.

Some other places to check:

MAT Electronics
Parts Connexion
Electronic Goldmine

The first two specifically carry a lot of audio stuff. The Goldmine is a little of everything, as though Mouser and Digikey swept the floor and gave all of it to them.
