Biggest CV's I've ever seen...

[Clmrt]

These have been for sale at a reseller's shop for a long time.

Looks like one of those "Moped" things - fun to ride until your friends see you. But they'd look damn swell in the garage blasting Ted Nugent....:scratch2:

Hmmm...they look just like the ones in my house. Bring lots of power and enjoy the thump they'll make. Finesse? Not here. This is a no holds-barred party speaker

[Vintage TX]

How much can they handle ?:scratch2:

[StarMover]

My local thrift has a single CV 3-way that his equally HUGE, but with a woodgrain cabinet. 15" woofer with rotted foam.

They're probably very sensitive, a couple of watts in a house would kill you.

I bet they're +95db / watt or so. Just a guess.:scratch2:

[jocko_nc]

I'd say well over +100.

[Sandy G]

Aww, man, I can hear them Puppies now..."SMOKE ON THE WAHTUH...A Fire In the Sky..." <grin>

[cabinover]

:scratch2: They'll take 250 pretty easy. I've seen the clipping leds on my amp.

[Vintage TX]

Woo Hoo, that is what I need

Dude!!

Those are sleepers, much finer sound than you'd ever expect from a carpeted box.

Back in the day, CV made some pro sound gear for which they were highly regarded.

Take a look at the following:

http://www.hollywooddj.com/sl36.html

The bass horn is almost 2xbigger (OK its not fullrange) and has a SPL of 106dB (102 dB without the marketing offset).

I heard them once on a music fair and they were really good, lot´s of kick for the buck ....

[Dr.Evil]

Ive got a pair of the CV DX9's and they thump! My PL400 isn't powerfull enough to blow the fuses on them, fully cranked.

[mikey3117]

8" midranges!

[DaWoofer]

500 watts out of that would be crazy loud!

My wife and I have done business at Capital Deals - the are in our neighborhood. If you buy multiple items on their shop they will deal with you. And you will find something else in their shop! I've bought patio furniture, a lamp, a kneeboard.... some other stuff. They have an assortment of audio gear as well.

[Clmrt]

Yep - nice people.
