Billiard Balls

Do any of you guys know anything about Billiard Balls? I am hosting a church missions yard sale, and one older gentleman brought three sets of pool balls. One looks fairly run of the mill (I stickered them @ $20) but the other two look to be of a higher grade. One in particular looks like it might be made of Bakelite or some similar material and I am guessing these are quite old. At any rate, I think there may be better venues to sell these at than a yard sale, but I don't know the first thing about how to determine what we have here. Any thoughts? TIA.

Could they be made out of nitrocellulose or ivory ?

I have had them before.....Price them in the $60-$80 range.....they are not that rare...

Thanks for the input everyone. Keep it coming. I will especially be spending some time on that "Fast Larry" page. FYI, the yard sale made $300 and it was largely crap that nobody wanted anyway. I sold off a bunch of duplicate albums at a buck each. Nobody even sniffed at the one set of balls that I put in the sale.
