I’m pretty sure those cabs came from the factory as unfinished Baltic birch, not pine, which has a grain with much more contrast. I have ARs in both finishes.

I recently paid $230 for a beautiful unmolested early pair in walnut.
Still have the cool little a pins as well.

This seller has them on EBay too and was originally listed as AR3's...lol. I contacted him and explained that you have a pair of 2ax's and if you looked at box you have...it says AR2ax. I did say you might have a pine veneer but would need closer pics and that these are more rare.

So he responds with a thank you....and now has this ad...with no price change....lol. I gave up and never responded.
