Black face MCS??

Was at a local SA and they are doing there usually thing by putting together a "system" made up of about three different makes and slapping a price on the lot. In this "system" they have a black face MCS amp along with some older Fisher components. I know MCS is rebadged gear from a variety of Japanese companies but I have never come across a black face MCS piece. Any ideas who made their black face gear?

The only way to know about what's inside an MCS box is to lift the lid and look on the back panel or main board to see who actually built it. I have owned MCS built by Panasonic (Technics), NEC, & Itoh Radio. All have worked very well and I still own a few

If it's from the 70s (their rack handled separates), it was most likely one of the NEC built pieces. Most of them were offered in either silver, or black.

If it's from the 80s, it could still be NEC, or some other company.
