I've been going through my inherited record collection, playing sides for 4-5 hours a day for maybe the last three weeks straight. First, having this many VG+ to mint, and many unopened (Sargent Pepper) albums in one shot is just amazing. A good pressing in great condition played on a decent system is awe inspiring. Right now is Crosby, Stills and Nash. Earlier was Ry Cooder, Cream and Credence.
Last week was Miles Davis, Coltrane, Stan Getz, Duke Ellington, etc. Maybe next week will be Bach, Brahms, Vivaldi and Chopin. What an amazing gift. The grooves hold magic in them. Thanks Uncle Walt, wherever you are.
