BNC from function generator to RCA input(amplifier)

Hello people!

I want to test my Marantz 2270 amplifier by connecting a function generator to the AUX rca input. My function generator has a single BNC female output connection, 50 Ohms. Can I use this adapter I made(pics). It is a BNC male input that splits it into two female BNC connection, from here I am planing to connect a BNC male to RCA female(BNC adapter 3.PNG)on both splits so that I can connect my usual RCA male to male cable from this to the amplifier aux input. Will this work?

That will work but consider making up a splitter cable, with a pair of thin flexible RCA's at one end and BNC/banana plugs at the other, as being more convenient on the workbench than two chunky and inflexible BNC to RCA coax cables. Less strain on the BNC plug at the sig gen end too.

My favourite for unbalanced gear is the one on the left, banana plugs for direct connection to my Gould J3B's low Z or floating output, the adaptor for connection to the low distortion output at the back.

The other's to the right of it were earlier bodge-jobs and iterations. the cable on top is for balanced gear, I have noticed that with this cable using a splitter to feed two inputs on the same amp, in this case a HH V200, causes issues, it's something like phase cancellation and I haven't quite gotten to the bottom of it. For unbalanced gear however I've had no problem running both channels from the same sig gen output.

I use a BNC to RCA cable and a Y cord that is one female to two males. But your setup should work fine.
