Bob Carver 275 Stereo Vacuum Tube Amplifier

Been curious to hear more about the trannie noise, if any. Seems they would answer any concerns posted in here........

I’m sure they are fine amps. Everything else I’ve read about them seems to lead me to believe they are a somewhat inexpensive alternative to an mc275 albeit with different circuits but should perform good or maybe as good (some may say better).

Dont know which one it is, also dont know what Audiowise was trying to say. If Bob says it's good for 75 per then I'm sure it is...

The next, to me anyway, obvious question is what does Carver have to say about it?

It looks pretty damning, but what's the rest of the story? It seems odd there would be such a large apparent discrepancy in such relatively easily testable performance.

Totally agree. This thread makes me think of the Clapton\Grandma thread.

This is an incredible discovery. I'm frankly surprised it wasn't discovered before this.

Which is precisely why it is important to get the rest of the story and/or the other side of the story. Seems odd that just today such thing is posted for an amp that has nearly a 3 years running thread on it, not even considering exposure elsewhere.
