Bogen AP-35 - Need Schematic

Any help with a schematic would be much appreciated. I've emailed the Bogen folks and I found an AP-30 schematic but I'd rather have the correct one if possible.

I just glanced in Dig Docs
I'm surprised there's so little Bogen stuff. I suspect someone here has it. If you do end up striking out try Sams

Bogen AP35 Op Manual

I have the original op manual with schematic. I scanned each page. Large files. I'd attach a re-sized schematic file here but that jpeg file can't be easily read due this site's file size restriction.

Let me know if you need the files via email.

Send me the files (separately if necessary) and I'll find a way to compress the schematic, and make a pdf of the manual. tbavis(at)rochester(dot)rr(dot)com

Of Bogen AP series, Sams covers AP40, AP60, AP200, AP250 (schematic only)

Bogen AP-35 files have been sent to chrisinsc. Now if I could just find the op manual for a Fisher 90-T mono preamp tuner. I found the 90-T service manual free online.

I bought a lot of Photofacts via eBay and elsewhere over the past several years but some seem to be near impossible to track down or just never published.

Thanks again trunergande. I put the jpegs into a pdf but its 26MB though the resolution is outstanding. I could not email it from work becuase we have a 10 meg limit.

If they were in .jpg format, you can probably reduce the size by reducing the color depth. No clue what programs you may have, but there is a freebie viewer called Irfanview that does all sorts of neat stuff like that. If its a typical B&W scan, you can drop it from 24 bit color to 256 color without losing anything other than the size. You might get by with 16, but I find it often gets grainy at 16 or 2 color, even if it was black and white originally.

Here's the schematic, reduced to 4 colors, file size reduced by a factor of 30. Don't think there's any loss in readability. 16 color wouldn't be as grainy.

Hi,

These discussions never get old isn’t it? I am happy to see you have the Op Manual for Bogen AP-35. I just closed a deal and can’t wait to have a listen to this. Expected to be delivered next week. In the meantime I am trying to find Op Manual and landed at this thread. Will you please send me a copy by email, I shall DM my email ID to you. Thank you so much.

Hey folks, I hope everyone is well out there. Like the previous poster 3 years ago, I'm seeking the operating manual (not schematic) for the Bogen AP-35. Anyone able to help?

And while I'm here, I might as well ask the question that motivates my post: I came by one of these AP-35s lately that had been de-installed from a house (ages ago) and came with cut wires connected to the speaker terminals. Thing is, there were FOUR sets of wires, connected to BOTH the 16 and 8 ohm taps on each channel. I'm wondering why. Four speakers total in the house setup? If so, what would the total resistive load need to be on each channel, to make such a hookup safe for simultaneous operation of the 16+8 ohm taps on each channel???

Wondering as I wander,

Nick

its entirely possible what they were doing wasn't really correct either, but if you have a 4 and an 8 to be used at the same time, using the 8 and the 16 as the positives and the 0 or common as the negative should load it about correctly.

Going from 8 to 16 only would be about a 2.5 ohm load, which is 3 8 ohms in parallel.

Thank you gadget73! Highly appreciated. Be well. - Nick
