After being a long term lover of Dual turntables,I decided to contact Bill about rebuilding a 1219 for my sister.
What a very pleasant guy to deal with and talk to.Whenever I called him about the 1219 he was so polite and answered all of my concerns without ever a hint to hurry the conversation.
I received the 1219 which I sent him for a rebuild and WOW!! what a first class job! He turned it around back to me in 1 week,Now that is service!
I am so impressed I'm sending him 2 of my 1229's.
Hey I advise one to take advantage of a guy who's passion can make a Dual new again.
THANKS AGAIN Bill ------You are a top gun man for Dual turntables.

When I was first beginning to refurbish my 1229, I thought I was going to have to replace the cackling and slow motor. I found a place online that would sell me a replacement, but decided to get a second opinion. When I emailed Bill, he told me what I had was par for the course with an old Dual, and then proceeded to walk me through a successful motor disassembly and relube. He could have sold me a motor, or tried to sell me pricer services, but instead he ushered me into the club of novice Dual maintainers.

Of course, if I run into something I know is over my head, I would send him one of my Duals (yes, I have two now), though I'd probably drive it there (I'm in a neighboring state) just so I could shake his hand.
