hey guys... I need help! I have an opportunity to pick up either a set of Bohlender Graebener Z7s or a set of Paradigm Monitor 7 towers... both make me happy to look at, similar in aesthetics, and very similar prices (around $200/pr +-), but they are both about an hour away from home in opposite directions. The Bohlender Graebeners are from a guy who I've purchased a fair amount of equipment from over the years, alway to my delight plus a great dude and always fun conversations (the dude has a man cave as big as my house filled with pinball machines and sells me stuff way cheaper than market value usually!), but the other guy has mutual friends and they all say he's a stand-up guy. I can't justify auditioning them both as I simply don't have the time to drive four hours in one day and potentially six if I decided on the first set. does anybody have first hand experience with either (or ideally both) that can chime in here as to their value or how they liked them sonically? It's not an issue of money and if I had the space I'd buy them both, I just can't fit em anymore. For a bit of reference, I have a Paradigm monitor 7 sub I recently acquired set up in my bedroom ht system with some Vienna Acoustics Haydns all around that I like a great deal and sounds really nice with music so I'm fairly certain that the Paradigms would make me happy, but that ribbon tweeter on the Bohlenders looks like it'd be pretty sweet. Thanks in advance!
