Here's my example using a Nikon 80-300.

Really? I believe you about the zoom used, but the trees make it look like it was shot with a mirror. That's an interesting artifact from a refractor. Nice shot though!

I hate this kind of Bokee.. have it w/ Tamron 5.6/200-400... don't really like to use it anymore...

Nice shot.
I love these little critters. Very territorial and can be mean to other hummers though. From the picture, the sugarwater needs changing. Everything I've read says that when it turns cloudy, it's gone bad and should be changed. It should be changed every 3-4 days, and feeder cleaned very well. They are not the easiest things to get good pictures of............

I was surprised by my camera, when playing with the zoom on it the other day at my girlfriends. I was pointing at some books and going out to 30x zoom i was able to get a focus. Being just 8 feet away.

Ive taken macro shots with that zoom setting as well. Surprising what cameras do. Im just getting started with taking photos for fun and viewing later...
