Bono Back-pedals

I just don't understand all this anger caused by their Generosity . A bunch a bitching about nothing .

Not sure what all the hype is about. People just want to complain about something. Most likely all the hipsters were mad because they only have 16 or 32 Gigs of storage on their I device and can't use a micro SD to add more space.

If they had given away all the American Idol songs for free they would be all excited. :smoke:

People will complain about anything.

My boss would probably complain if I used a new rope to hang myself...

I don't think it's the free album that is the issue. It's the fact that it was auto downloaded to peoples devices without their consent or being given a choice. That would Apple's issue, not Bono's.

It all falls under the 1st world affluent "problems" category. :D

That's how I feel, and I was happy to put it on my phone.

Call me a cynic, but I think the whole thing was a big test-drive to see how people would react to it. And U2, Apple, and whoever else all knew what the score was.

As much as I think the complaining has been a bit much, I'm glad it's happening.
Not everybody with a "low" memory device is a hipster, or an idiot, or a fanboy, etc.
Some of us PAID for that memory and expect to use it as we see fit. It would be a pretty slippery slope if this went by without being complained about. And I'm not just talking about itunes/Apple users.

As a sidebar, we have an ipad mini here that is primarily our five year old's. It's used for educational apps and to facetime with family.
We are vigilant about what is put on there. It is set so she can't download anything without the password that only I know, and automatic downloads are turned off. Yet this album was put on there, and with a quick click it's installed. :thumbsdn:

Except that it wasn't, unless people had their iTunes settings on "just slap everything on here." In which case it was their own bloody fault.
