BORK! BORK! BORK!

Greetings from Wyandotte Michigan!

Was invited to join the forum by a friend to get more information on turntables, I believe I'm in the right place.

This year I really started getting into music and audio equipment again. I couldn't even begin to tell you how many receivers and pairs of speakers have been bought and sold this year. I have the fever and sadly like many others in the hobby with an audio addiction, I don't ever quite seem to be satisfied.

Believe it or not my girlfriend is also seriously into music and audio. She has her own setup in the living room, an older Denon receiver she is fond of and some nice sounding speakers that I've acquired for her from various places over the years. Do to it being a smaller room, the larger loudspeakers are not "allowed" in the living room LOL! She's rocking some nice 3-way bookshelves and monitors all on stands. I tend to retreat to the office in the basement for a majority of my listening. I have an older Onkyo that I will probably never sell and some halfway decent floorstanding Polk Audio monitors at the moment. I've always liked Polk, new and vintage. I'm trying to score a nice pair of paradigm floorstanderz from another local so I can retire the polk or possibly move them to the living room since they're nice. The garage contains various brands of of speakers, an amplifier board and a tube preamp that I have been using for testing at the moment.

Glad to be here, I hope to learn more about turntables from the more experienced members here since I'm really getting back into vinyl for the first time in many years.

Re: The wording @ your "introduction" thread's title: Are/were you particularly (peculiarly?) interested in the antics surrounding the nomination, by President Ronald Reagan in 1987, of one Robert Heron Bork (b. 1 March 1927; d. 19 December 2012) to the U.S. Supreme Court?
