Boron? Diatone DS-50CS vs DS-1000 vs DS-2000

Hi all, Last month I have just bought a pair of Diatone DS-50CS, they sound very very well, even the bass is strong, and they do present some good imaging even though they are not symmetrical. I drive them with Sansui AU-70, Sansui 7070, and Sony TA-1130, all with good results.

However, just within this week, there are three pairs of Diatones suddenly appear for sale in my country which is rare, they all priced within a close range. Unlike my DS-50s, these models have boron drivers. I am wondering if it is worthy for me to buy one of these and sell my DS-50s later, just that, each of these cost triple my DS-50s.

The main advantages of these newer ones (DS-1000HR, DS-1000ZX, DS-2000 @1985 to 1995, vs the DS-50CS @1975) are:
1. Boron mids and highs
2. Symmetrical
3. Newer

My main hesitations:
1. Cost (I have bought quite a number of gears over the past two years, and my wife has almost reached the top of her tolerance)
2. Boron - is it an unobtainium? Any risk of the boxes become useless when one of these boron stuff is dead? Also, would the 40kHz matters to my 55 years old ears ?

Last questions, other than the matters regarding the boron, would there be very significant advantages of these newer models over the DS-50CS?

Buy them if all the drivers are working. And if you don't want them I do. If any of the drivers are blown don't buy them because replacements have been unavailable for decades.
