Checked the tweeters they are okay. Woofers are springy rotted foam. Grills are in passable shape.

I see on eBay their is speaker foam.
I was wondering is there any thing Canadian or local in Halifax Nova Scotia.

Probably best to get on eBay, probably the cheapest option too.

That woofer on the right might have a knackerd voice coil judging from the angle of the woofer cone hanging out of the basket .
 
Agreed with MikeyBC on the woofer. Pull it and take some pictures of the cone, dust cap area and the spider behind the cone. Something is amiss there.

Also, when you pull the woofer, remove the fiberglass stuffing and take a pic of the crossover mounted to the other side of the masonite board that holds the terminals.

Otherwise, they look like the good 'ol 501s I remember well. They're worth restoring if you're up to it.

I owned a pair of these and really enjoyed them before selling to someone who had the cash to pry them from my hands.
There are a few Bose 501 woofers for sale on the bay for relatively cheap (no affiliation). You may want to look into those before committing to restoration effort.
 
I am up to it. I called a guy for info on restoring them since he does Cervin Vegas and offered to help when the time comes.

So I took a closer look and one cone is ripping from the voice coil the other is just hanging out missing it’s foam friend.

Amazon foam kit 70.00 and just foam on eBay is 22.00. Both price before shipping. Pictures in the future.
 
Another update tried removing the woofers and they are glued or epoxied into place with some grey stuff won’t lift out. And I don’t know how much stuff is suppose to be behind the woofer but it’s like dryer sheet fabric.
At this point it looks like a cha Ching cha Ching job that I don’t want to pay for and the paper or cardboard part that sits on the foam just ripped into and I tried to gently lift the woofer basket and caught my hand :(. Feeling bummed by this. And all I wanted to do was pull it and check the ohms readings. :(.

I would say trying to get them back in working order at a shop would be 200.00 and a very upset wife and I don’t want to go to the dog house.

Even if my friend did them I would still be parts and how ever much he wants for labour.

Well all will work out in due time as a swap meet is coming and maybe someone wants them bad enough.
 
OP, you will want to shim the VCs on these. They have been sitting for a very long time with rotted surrounds.
Those were sealed in with Strip-Caulk. It holds incredibly well.
 
There probably are current limiter bulbs in there. I'd be surprised if there weren't.
 
A little ding in the MDF under the non-removeable grill isn't going to hurt anything. Just pry it out with a screwdriver. If you're worried about it, put a piece of metal or hard plastic under the fulcrum point of whatever you decide to use for a lever.
 
I usually grab the heat gun (hair dryer). Set it in the lowest setting and try to get the glue/caulk to loosen a bit. Go slow, be careful, don't burn anything. If you can get an angled pick behind the lip of the basket, that can give you a bit of leverage to get it out from the cab. I usually try to work the pick behind the screw holes if possible. Use common sense - if it ain't moving, don't force it. Regroup and try again.

PATIENCE is key.
 
I brought the speakers to a swap meet this weekend and one of the tops came off. On top of that my buddy said the woofers need some serious work so I don’t feel like pouring a bunch of money in to them so does anyone need parts. Pm me
