My elderly neighbor has a pair of Bose 601 series II that he asked me to help him sell and split the $. They need a refoam which I will do before selling but otherwise look great if not just a little dusty.
Give me a range and maybe a starting price. I don't typically do Bose but it my quick study these seem to be some of their best.

I thought all series 1s and 2s were cloth surrounds. Anything after that they went to foam..Let me know you you can. Also no mention of the EQ.
 
I had a pair of the series 2 - they have foam surrounds. Bought them new back in the day for $800(a young kid and his money). The series 2s were some of Bose better speakers, never heard the 3s but I think it is generally accepted that they went downhill from that point on. Unfortunately(for me), I let mine go for next to nothing. Figure with a refoam you can probably get a couple hundred for them if everything else is in good shape, they do sound pretty good.
 
I have a pair of 601 Series IIs, which Ibought new around 30 years ago. They still get used regularly, and sound good when fed by either a Carver M500t or Pioneer SX-1250. These seem to have developed a cult following over the years, I was shocked when I saw what they sold for recently on the Bay.
I suggest looking at the eBay completed auctions to get some idea of what price to list them at.
 
I sold a pair last year Series II. Went very quick on cl for $300.00. They looked new and I had boxes and manuals. Probably should have gotten a little more for them....Even with the boxes I would never try shipping. Pretty much 100% chance of damage.
 
The Asians buy these on Ebay and why they go so high. I have redid four or five sets of the II's and always sold for over $500. Shipping is tricky but I use 1/4" plywood to box the plastic top to protect it. Never have had a problem. Is the plastic sides in good shape on these?
 
Thanks guys. Other than dust and all 4 drivers needing refoaming, they are pretty much mint.
Centsless, on the few occasions I have shipped speakers I have used thin plywood as well to protect the fronts. As you say with these you have the fronts as well as the top box. But, compared to other speakers that size, they are not too heavy.
