Bose 901 I speaker grill cloth?

Hi all. New to the forum.

Apologies if this gets asked but where can I find either decent condition original or decent repro grill cloth for 901 series I?

Is there a section to ask people for parts? I need to
Replace the forward facing section of one speaker.

Chances are even if you find the original cloth the fact that the good one is most likely discolored from age might make you consider changing both. In which case, unless you're set on keeping it looking as original as possible maybe just pick a pattern you like. BTW if you find a match and want to age it a bit you can try soaking it in some warm tea to discolor it a bit.
 
Maybe not answering precisely what you're asking - neither was close to original, but here were my two cloths I used on my two pairs.

I used "Guilford of Maine FR701 Acoustical Panel Fabric Grey Mix Color" bought off Amazon on my first 901 Series 1 and they looked like this:

I used a linen from Joann fabrics on my second 901 Series 1 pair and they looked like this:

This is a good thought. I am mostly an amateur car restorer in my free time, and I’m a sucker for originality. It’s really a sickness more than anything.
I think I have to make peace with new fabric. I didn’t realize it initially, but the original fabric has a 3D texture to it. It will be very difficult to find an exact match. image.jpg

Those look slick. Would you mind taking a close pic of the mixed grey? Maybe one slightly looking from the side?

Unfortunately they are long gone (the first pair before one move, then I got the second ones once moved in ... and sold them before the next move :rolleyes:). In both cases I was looking for that 3D texture, the first one had it with a larger thread and the second one if you look close it is also 3D texture but much finer thread.
