If you don't get eq with it positioned between the pre out and main in, your EQ might be sick and needing some work. If it does work there, then the tape monitor should work, too.
Tried using both tape loops and the pre out/in.
No eq effect in any. I suspect I have a sick EQ.
Going to see if I can track down a schematic.
Anyone have ideas on where to start investigating?
When you have nothing I'd suggest the best place to start is at the beginning; mains voltage getting to transformer, low voltage from transformer through rectifiers, etc...
Maybe you'll see a problem as soon as you open the case.
