Bose Wave Radio/CD Model AWRC-1G

I have a Bose Wave Radio/CD Model AWRC-1G that will not pick up any FM or AM stations. It was working fine then one day out of the blue the radio will only play static (White Noise) no matter what station I tune to. Any idea what may be the issue? Is there a factory reset procedure that may help?

I was given one that stopped turning on with no warning. All the research I've done on these says the fix is replace the capacitors. Its all surface mount so I couldn't be bothered.

That's a shame.
I've had a few of those pass through. I like them a lot.
Very cool when they work, but most have issues.

I don't think there's a reset. Some have a 9v battery, but that shouldn't effect the FM.

Mine has the 9v battery. All that does is maintain the clock during a power outage. It's really weird. All I get is white noise. Not even a hint of picking up a station on AM or FM. Very annoying.

I had one with a broken cd player but working radio for a while. Then one day I plugged it in to use it and all it did was the "please stand by " message the whole time. Never worked again.

I've noticed that the older beige colored units are much more reliable and better built than the newer black colored ones. I have a beige top loader that's still working just fine. All it needed was increasing the power to the laser to get the CD working again...easy fix.
