That is what I paid for mine, also needed refoam. I thought they were a great deal. They come with different cabinets. While they all sound the same, the real wood are more valuable than the ones with vinyl covering. There are a few threads identifying the different models in the speaker section.
I would buy another set for $65, even if they were the vinyl covered ones.

Why's that?
The oak I believe is the type that I have. They're the light veneer ones with the beige grill cloth...I think they're the most attractive of the various looks in these speakers. I think some were also vinyl, but the oak ones are veneer. They're well worth $65. They just seem to get a lot of things right and aren't fussy about amplification.

I bought them and except for the rotted surrounds they are immaculate, oak veneer. The seller is the original owner and is selling off his vintage gear because he bought a surround sound system. He bought them new from Tweeter. The only thing he has left is a Pioneer SX 1280. Sorry, no pictures of the Bostons. They are in the Jeep until I can make room for them in the house.

I have a set. Vinyl, worn grills, refoamed woofers, but they do sound nice. Congrats!!!

The Series Is and IIs have made it through my doors. I find both drivers to be very good. Earlier are SEAS, later are BA in-house. Folk argue about which is better- to my count, it's about a 50/50 split so far. I wasn't feeling there was much a difference. Wood veneer cabs bring in more money than the vinyl.
