Boston Micro 90x vs. Micro 90x II

I've read some glowing stories about how great the Boston Micro 90x speakers were back in the day and am curious if anyone can confirm if the "second" version (II) were revised for the worse in any way. Tweeters look different for sure. Can't imagine they'd screw up what was apparently a significant cash cow at the time.

Someone local is unloading a full surround set of the II version for extremely low dollars and I'm kind of curious, if the alleged "magic" carried over.
