I still don't trust it YET. I still get up right before an album finishes (out of habit) just to make sure the thing doesn't launch my tonearm into the air (LOL). Its the AudioTechnica 6006 and works really well. Took a small layer of scotch tape on the lifter to keep the tonearm from drifting when elevating, but it's not a $400 one so I put that to cheaper engineering on the lifter (not perfectly level). It's a little finicky to install perfectly at first only because of the double-sided tape.

I got a similar one for Douk audio I think, was like 50 bucks.

they work well and nice and slow lift.

Wise to be mindful when it's newly installed, as positioning is critical to successful operation (and runout-grooves vary on different records). When you have used it for a while and are confident with the positioning I think you will be able to relax.
 
I use those on my SL-1300G and SL-1200GR2... once set up they are dead reliable, you don't have to worry about them.

Took first listening night, last Friday, to get used to it...LOL. Did have to adjust it one more time, unknowingly was micro touching the tonearm towards the end of the LP...fixed now.

The 1300G is excellent ! The dual rotor motor with the heavy brass plate on the balanced platter makes it ultra stable (and powerful). The only thing is that a regular listener won't really hear the difference between it and the much less expensive GR2.

This is also great news for cost.
 
I've been thinking of getting one for my Denon 3000NE but I'm not sure which tonearm lifter will work on my model.
 
I had that model lifter. I returned it. Was because I didn't have a location that would work.

My LP12 with Basik LVX arm, was too congested. If I'm remembering right.

And my SL1200 MK2 has an aftermarket fluid damper. Damper would have to go, for lifter to fit. So no go.
 
I still have one that came on my JVC turntable. I am somewhat mechanically challenged and found it too finicky. Glad to know it can work for those with more refined skills!

Yes, they are a bit fiddly to get set just where you want them, but once done you never have to worry about it again.

Definitely! Getting your mitts in and around the platter/tonearm while seeing how far the tonearm needs to be to activate the lifter, then holding the lifter so you don't knock it over with the tonearm prior to sticking it down in it's final resting spot takes some patience.
 
The Audio Technica AT6006 was the precessedor. If one can find a good one, it is superior to the AT6006R.
The Douk Audio version is a Chinese copy. Not the same.
 
I have one of the AT6006R as well. Works as designed despite apparently being inferior. ;)

Really not as cheap as some, but I can't justify the purchase of a Lil' Fwend (who's name bothers me for some reason) and it's exorbitant price.
