Box 960 vs. Technics sl b3

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to vinyl and am trying to upgrade my turntable. I currently have an at lp60. I got a Bic 960 and a Technics sl B3 (both of which will need work) in a two for one deal for $40. New belt for both at the very least. Which turntable should I be putting my effort into? I realize that they are fairly different, but are they even in the same league? Is one clearly much nicer than the other? I would love to get some feedback from those in the know. Thanks

I would start with the one that is closer to working properly, I'm guessing the Technics. Before you buy new belts, try cleaning the ones you have with a rag and alcohol. Also clean the platter rims and motor spindles that the belts ride on.
 
The Technics will be more straightforward so do that first. And if the BIC platter does not move, resist the temptation to force it off. Search for threads on it.
