Bozaks are the find this weekend.

Found a pair of Bozak B-300 Urban speakers at a sale today. no mid range in this model, simple crossover. Date code 1962. Cabinets need refinishing. Just got done hooking them to my pair of Altec 1568A tube amps (1963). Sweet sound, got to love that vintage analog sound, just can"t beat it. I bought these to flip them, however they may stay for a while and give my L-100 a rest. any advice on tuning them up.

Unless you sit far away from them, the tweeter position is so low that you loose a good deal of the high end, which isn't exactly blasting you to begin with. So some people have reported that tilting them up at the front is worth doing, though they look less like furniture that way.
Another thought is to add the midrange -- the threeway is a much better speaker than the twoway in my opinion. If its a Bozak cabinet, there is probably a cutout for the midrange already, just blocked off. You'd need to change the crossover obviously, or add to it.
There is an active Bozak users group with lots of advice and sources for drivers etc.

The other thing you can do is find another pair of B-300's and stack them. They aren't as rare as you might think, although matching the finish can be a bit of a chore. Of course, once you have 4 you only need one more for the ultimate surround sound system!
