Braun 810

I have picked up a pair of Braun 810 speakers, made in West Germany.
The cabinets are beautifully made, the woofer drivers have substantial cast frames, the speakers sound beautiful to me but there is always something NOT right.

In this case there are No speaker binding posts just ordinary looking cables coming out of the back of the speakers through a hole. Just horrible and totally out of character with the design and build of the speakers.

So, does anyone have any idea how to fit traditional binding posts to the 810?
The boxes have a strange back. It appears to be a heavy plastic/metal lining attached to a traditional wooden back. The metal stands bolt to this back plate. Seems silly to me.

Any other information about the Braun 810 sure would be appreciated

Why is the wiring a problem, if the speakers sound so good?

Lot of guff spoken about speaker cables/wire anyway.
If the wire is of sufficient quality (doesn't add more than 5% to the system impedance) which I assume it is and it is direct soldered, then that's the most efficient wiring solution.

If it's not broke, don't fix it.

I don't think I would like to have a couple plastic pieces of Chinese junk hanging off the back of a speaker. Too easy to snap off.

The ADS speakers have a hole cut in the back panel of particle board and the crossover is mounted to that with the speaker connections affixed to the masonite with the crossover. This recesses the terminals.

I'm not a fan of the individual big speaker connectors linked. I much prefer the dual binding posts that allow use of a standard dual banana plug. But I know some don't like banana plugs. So whatever you chose, make sure you like em. It does not matter to anyone else as long as you are happy with what you install.
