Picked this up at the GW today. They must have thought it was a tuner, as receivers rarely make it to the floor anymore, shopgoodwill.com gets anything with potential auction value. $10. Has the little station preset key intact, but not the back cable cover. The "C" display is for the Cassette input, but its modern meaning will be ChromeCast. ;)

Like the sleek, modern look, though I'm not usually fond of black gear. Kinda like NAD, but better looking, IMO. Now, what to do with it? :scratch2:

Sleek! If I had picked that up it would go in my office (or another place where space is at a premium), with a pair of ADS speakers, of course. :)

Someone on forum picked up some ADS speakers they don't seem to be interested in along with some Mac gear. Maybe you guys should get it together, it would make a very sweet little system, especially for an office or similar space. I'd love one of those for my wife's art studio, she'd love it.
 
Congrats on the excellent find,very nice indeed!
I'm really liking it's design,especially the simple but unusual "army green" color power on/off button.. It's a nice little design touch and also the exact same color as that used on the buttons of my mid 80's Braun travel alarm clocks.

The belly of the beast. A lot going on inside. Looks like the Sanyo STK power out units, can't see their fronts to be sure. Beauty is skin deep, in this case. ;)

I picked up a ADS R1 for 40$ . It worked but needed some new CAPS in the power start-up and the tuner. 200$ latter the AMP is amazing! Much better than my Marantz 2226B, Sold the Marantz. Call me crazy but if you can find a R1 pick it up and get it running, its really really good. Its pretty heavy too
 
I have ADS R1, everything works normally, including the tuner. But the lights for signal strength, stereo indicators, left and right tuning indicators don't work, what's the cause?
