Braun LV1020

Hi everyone. I have Braun LV1020 with failed woofers. Also I have Bozak B305 speaker with 15" woofers. My plan is to marry these guys.
Bozak speaker has 2 b-207A drivers. Each driver has two treble speakers on the aluminum frame. I plan to remove the aluminum frame together with the treble speakers.

1. Is it a good idea?
2. Will I be better off in terms of a sound quality compared to if I keep Bozak B305 intact.

Thanks for your opinions.

Not enough details. How are you planning to handle the crossover points? I don't know the details of each of the drivers so cannot help you.

My recommendation is to rebuild the crossover for the Bozaks and keep them intact. Then, monitor those auction sites for spares for the Brauns.

There's no resale values to turning them into Frankenspeakers.

Cheers,

David

Dave,
Thanks for the reply. You are right it's a bad idea. And the main reason is Bozak woofers are 8 ohms and Braun 4 ohms!
Could you help me with my search. What excatly should I be looking for? Are those ADS woofers inside Braun LV1020? What model?
Thanks

What exactly "failed" with the Braun woofers?

As I understand it, ADS used Braun parts, not the other way around.

It is a pity that this forum does not give a damn about helping others. Good luck!!!!
