We brought home a couple of boxes of the Wally World "Great Value" brand cereal the other week.
Usually, I stay away from the generic products that are not commodities like butter or sour cream. Especially the cereals that seem to have such silly names when placed alongside such cultural icons as Cap'n Crunch.
From what I have experienced, the Great Value cereals are fantastic. The Cocoa Puffs WalMart analog actualy tastes to me the way Cocoa Puffs USED to taste. All the chocolate, all the sugar. Yum. Apple Jacks? The Wally World "Apple Blasts" appear to have actual dehydrated apple in them, as opposed the recycled cardboard Kellogs started using at some point in the past. 100% sugar-ness. They, too, taste like the Apple Jacks of old.
If you are into such things, pick up a box of the Pseudo-Cocoa Puffs and give them a try. Along the lines Pepsi Throwback, I swear they are making Sugary Kid Cereal Throwback.
