bridging a Clarion Ma-7800

hello.

I want to bridge my stereo amp into mono. It's a clarion MA 7800 . the pre and the amp are separated but integrated in one box and need to be jumped ( from a pre-out to pre-in). It's a 45 wpc at 8ohm and i guess should give around 90-100 wpc if it can be bridge. i want to use only the amp and not the pre section on a 8 ohms center channel ( axiom vp 100)

there is a mono switch but i guess is will only mix channel( or remove one) at the line level signal and do nothing to amplifier section, im i right?

so + on right amplifier terminal and - on left amplifier terminal for speaker wire should bridge the amp is that correct?

what do you think about that, im i thinking ok? did im gonna end with a nice vintage brick?
