Broken Kenwood KR9600 speaker module

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question.
I have a KR9600 that I'm pretty sure I can get back to working order. It needs a bunch of work but that is for a different post.

My main question is how to go about replacing the speaker input module plate with a new one.

Any help would be appropriate.

See if any parts like this would match the approx. dimensions of where the existing connector block is:

Whatever you end up doing - unless you can obtain some genuine parts from auction sites from stripped units - you will most likely need to make some changes to make a replacement solution fit.

Another solution is to fit a sheet of plastic or something similar across the gaps exposed by the old part, secure this to the amp case, and drill holes to fit individual speaker posts like this (of whatever quality you like):

Just the plate, or are the terminals broken as well?

Be careful with those speaker connections. Event though the unit should have good speaker protect circuitry, those Trio TA-200W output modules are almost impossible to find so you need to make sure you don't fry them with shorted speaker leads. 2 of them (used) just sold on ebay in the UK a few weeks ago. One sold for $233, and the other for $219.

I had that happen to a 9600. It's a lot of work to replace it. If I remember correctly - if it's the plate that's broken - the wires come in from the back side of the plate, and the terminals snap into the plate from the outside. So you have to undo every wire and resolder them after installing the new plate.

PS I notice your "pre out/power in" jumpers are missing. If no output is a.problem that might be the reason.

I would fit nice gold plated speaker terminals, on a plastic or aluminum plate.
Those stock terminals aren't worth the work.
